By addressing these key aspects, we aim to ensure clear communication and accurate quoting, ultimately delivering a solution that aligns perfectly with your requirements.
So, please don't be surprised if we contact you to discuss these factors before providing you with a quote:

• Tolerance requirements. We prioritize understanding the tolerance requirements because our aim is to deliver the final product exactly as per your specifications. Machine shops often seek clarification on tolerance requirements to ensure that the produced parts meet your precise expectations. In some cases, we may even recommend tighter tolerances to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to complex features. Our goal is to save you time and costs by manufacturing the parts accurately the first time, eliminating the need for rework.
• Specific part features. When we inquire about specific part features, our intention is to identify the most efficient manufacturing approach. For example, if altering the cutting direction eliminates an additional operation, we would like to discuss this option with you and provide our recommendations. Occasionally, engineers design parts with assumptions about ease of manufacturing, but collaborating with manufacturers often leads to better, more cost-effective outcomes.
• Function or aesthetics. If there are opportunities to enhance the function or aesthetics of your part, whether for a trade show or end-user satisfaction, wouldn't you like to explore them? During the quoting process, we frequently identify areas for improvement that have no impact on cost. We take great pride in machining your parts and are enthusiastic about making them even better if possible.
• Material type and finishes. Believe it or not, material types and finishes are omitted from RFQs all the time. It’s important for us to know the material type you need for a part. If that information isn’t clear in the RFQ, we’ll reach back out to confirm.
• Lead time. Upon receiving an RFQ, our initial response is often, "When do you need this?" Providing an accurate quote necessitates knowledge of the lead time required. While we expect responses like "as soon as possible," "next week," or "next month," the more specific and realistic you can be, the better we can address your needs effectively.
